In communes of Burgenland intelligent and coordinated measures concerning climate protection, energy saving and creation of value in the fields of energy will be developed in terms of energy concepts.

In this context following fields will be covered:

• Space planning
• Buildings and plants
• Supply, disposal, sources
• Mobility
• Communication, co-operation
• Organisation, management, sustainability

Results

Every involved commune will have its sustainable communal energy strategy with focus on energy saving, energy efficiency, energy resources and energy production. The project will be structured into following steps:

1. Survey of the current situation, analysisErhebung Ist-Situation, Analyse,
2. Target-settings, concepts
3. Implementation plans, co-operations

Every involved commune will develop the basics to join the programme e5. The communal energy concepts are designed that they can be consolidated and integrated into the development of a energy concept for Burgenland.

Project sections

Phase 1: Establishment of a team and working groups in the communes
Phase 2: Demand-oriented analysis (presentation) of the current situation, survey of resources, comparisons, best practice models
Phase 3: Development of target-settings, concepts, establishment of strategic alliances, investment plansäne
Phase 4: Consolidation, evaluation and presentation of communal concepts and integration into the energy concept of Burgenland
